Xiamen (pronounced shya-min) has been Wellington's sister city in China since 1987. The Wellington Xiamen Association aims to enhance goodwill and understanding between the people of Wellington and Xiamen.

Whistle-stop visit to Wellington

A three-member Xiamen Museum delegation headed by Ms. Zeng Ying, the Deputy Director of Xiamen Museum, arrived in Wellington on 25 April for a whistle-stop visit. The opportunity to further a potential working relationship between Xiamen Museum and Gibson Group was also the occasion for an enjoyable dinner between delegation members and WXA.

Delegation proposes Wellington focus for CIFIT

A five-member Xiamen CIFIT delegation arrived in Wellington on 13 April for a brief visit. At a dinner that evening, the delegation leader suggested Wellington City could be profiled at this year’s China International Fair for Investment and Trade in Xiamen.

Doctors visit Wellington
